Rose damascena concrete
Along with Rose oil, our company is focused on the production of Rose Damascena concrete and absolute. Rose concrete is obtained using fresh blossoms of Rosa Damascena P. Miller. The petals are soaked in the solvent (hexane) which extracts the essential oil. The hexane is then evaporated from the product. Rose concrete contains at least 60% of Rose absolute and the rest is natural wax. The process is done in our extraction plant located in the village of Chernozhemen, Bulgaria at the south border of the Bulgarian Rose Valley. We are using still technology, therefore leading to higher content and quality of the absolute.
use of rose concrete
Rose concrete is used in cosmetics to increase its rejuvenating and nourishing benefits. It takes more than 400 kilograms of rose blossoms for the production of one kilogram. When the absolute is extracted from it we retain the waxes which are preferred material for soaps and candles due to their rose scent. Rosabul is one the very few producers Rosa Damascena concrete in Bulgaria. To ensure the high quality of this product, we grow our own rose Damascena gardens of 140 hectares.
Rose damascena absolute
Rose Damascena absolute is extracted from the concrete under low temperatures. Unlike the Bulgarian rose oil, hot vapors are not involved in the production, therefore the scent is more reminiscent of rose Damascena flower. Additionally, rose absolute has a high content of phenyl-ethyl alcohol which makes its odor unique. It is widely used in fragrance to add the characteristic rose note in a perfume formulation.
